Savannah On Tap - The Peacock Lounge

The newest spot we are highlighting on Savannah On Tap has had the city swooning over this hidden gem. We are opening up 2020 with a wonderful location visit that will definitely fit with the 20’s vibe for this year, The Peacock Lounge. This speakeasy themed bar is located underneath Flock to the Wok, the newest Ele and Sean Tran restaurant.  They are also known for their other amazing locations such as Little Duck Diner, Flying Monk, Vault, Coco and Moss and Shuga Girl to name a few. You enter the bar either through the restaurant or the door on West Congress Lane giving the ultimate speakeasy experience. The environment is straight out of a movie, with a decadent atmosphere that not only looks amazing but also serves up some incredible drinks.
The bartenders Mark and Jomar (who are lovely and super entertaining!) offered us three separate drinks to feature to our readers, here is what they served:
Smoked Manhattan
[Agolde top is sold out in Noodle but available here in Tissue and Nocturnal

This was Mark’s concoction and let me just warn you get your phones out for the preparation of this drink because you’ll want to capture the smoke bubble being placed on your cup. The drink is
Wood Ford Reserve Kentucky bourbon, so if your palate likes something strong this is your drink!
Rittenhouse Rye
Jomar served us the last two drinks and he prefaced by saying he will serve us some Latin inspired drinks. The Rittenhouse Rye was a cocktail mixing fresh tamarind purée, homemade pear cordial, lime juice and angostura bitters. This was honestly delicious, and probably the night’s favorite.

Daiquiri Lime
Last drink was this Puerto Rican interpretation of a daiquiri, a mix of nutmeg rum, Rhum Agricole, lime juice, velvet falernum and grated nutmeg. We can’t recommend this enough! Make sure you capture a picture with your vintage cup backed by some neon signs and fun settings that they offer!
